Job Description:
Blackboard Off-campus hiring candidates for the post of Associate Software Engineer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing and maintaining effective relationships with other team members to understand system
- Requirements and functionality Collaborating closely with the Product Owner, QA team, Android team, and Backend team to govern project intake, scheduling, and delivery of solutions
- Participating in all stages of the Mobile App Development Lifecycle
- Ensure that the applications have the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Identifying bottlenecks and bugs and developing solutions for them
- Assisting in the maintenance of code quality, organisation, and automation
Required Qualifications:
- Education: B.E/B.Tech
- Any experience designing, writing, and deploying scalable software
- Exposure to web application development and SQL databases
- Any experience with Java and JavaScript frameworks like React and Angular
- Exposure to OOD/OOP, data structure, and algorithm analysis
- Strong problem-solving skills in large, scalable, complicated systems
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
Eligibility Criteria:
- Bachelor’s/master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or relevant degree , or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Any relevant experience in mobile development
Preferred skill:
- 0-2 years of experience in mobile development
- Experience with code versioning tools (Git/Stash) and Continuous Integration using Jenkins
- Knowledge of Cocoa Touch and XCode tool
- Great team player with excellent communication skills
- Good interpersonal skills and time management skills
- Good knowledge in Objective-C & Swift
- Knowledge of C, C++, and Java
- Good knowledge in RESTful web services; good working experience in REST and JSON
- Agile project experience along with working on Agile tools like JIRA/Confluence
- Excellent problem-solving skills
